DAY 01

- Arrival at the Airport

- Meet & Assist on arrival by a representative of Asiana Vacations

- Transfer to Bentota check-in Hotel

- Bentota at Leisure and overnight stay at the beach Hotel (Dinner & breakfast at the Hotel)

Bantota is the most famous beach resorts area of Sri Lanka located 62km from Colombo capitol. Bentota resort complex in a romantic rendezvous of River and sea with many resort hotels, railway station, post office, shopping arcade, many seafood cafés, and a most colorful open air theater showing folk and mask dancing.

Bentota is the home of world famous architect late Geoffrey Bawa’s estate Lunuganga. Also tourists can take a cruise along the Bentota River to the inland or join with water sports.

DAY 02

Early morning after breakfast leave to Tissamaharama via Galle. Visit Galle City, the southern Capitol of Sri Lanka.

Located at 116 km from Colombo, Galle is the most significant city of southern Sri Lanka. A town with an old world colonial inheritance with and ancient port. (Said to be the legendry “Tar Shish” of the holy bible). it’s natural harbor was famous fort in days gone by. Our first international commerce & Trade. The 17th century built Old Dutch fort has the distinction of being the best-preserved sea fort in South Asia. Enter through the imposing stone bastions that encircle the sea-facing promontory and step back in time. Inside the fort premises you will find that it exudes old world charm and the unique colonial architecture a blend of Dutch and English.

The Narrow Street and pathways are dotted with Dutch colonial villas, Dutch church (Groote Kerk) Dutch Governor’s House, The new Oriental Hotel (Built in 1684), Old bell tower, Several museums and antique shops which are on displays curiosities from the Island’s colonial era. Among the many other colonial buildings, the most absorbing site is the Dutch reformed Church, containing ornately carved memorials to the city’s Dutch settlers. The Portuguese built the first port in Galle when they landed in 1505 and later Portuguese was conquered by Dutch in 1640. After which the fortifications were expanded, developed and the grid street system were established. Later on, further extensions were made during the British period.

- Afternoon visit the Yala National park

Yala national park in famous as one of the best national parks in Asia to visit, observe and photograph leopards. The park covers an area of 100,000 hectares and in divided into five blocks and one side bordering to the southern beach coast. The south east coastline of Yala forms a major nesting ground for marine turtles.

yala is famous for it’s Elephant population, seen in small and large groups, spotted deer, sambhur, barking deer, Monkeys, Wild buffalos, wild boar, sloth bear and innumerable verities of birds both endemic and migratory. Peacock is the most famous among the birds at Yala. It is possible to take full day jeep safaris or to split your day into morning and afternoon drives. A jeep safari will afford you the most unforgettable opportunity to see some of the islands most celebrated creatures.

DAY 03

- After breakfast, Proceed to Nuwara Elya (The high country tea Scenery)

- Afternoon at leisure & overnight stay At the Hotel (Dinner & Breakfast)

- After breakfast, sightseeing in Nuwara Elia and leave for Kandy, the second capitol of Sri Lanka.

Nuwara Elia (Little England) is the Sri Lankas highest town and a favorite hill station during British colonial times. The town is stilled called as Little England, an illusion maintained by the presence of an 18 hole golf course, a racecourse, the Victoria park and excellent trout fishing in nearby lakes and rivers. The temperature can drop to close to freezing at night and it is common to see smoke rising from the chimneys of the many tudor-style manors. The British made post office with the clock spire, Anglican Church with the lych-gate, the hill club and the Tea Plantations (Ceylon Tea) are the main sights of nuwara eliya.

Botanical garden Hakgala is located in Nueara Eliya in an elevation of 1,707 meters from the sea level and the species of flora is quite different. Hakgala botanical garden is famous for it’s Roses. The rose gardens and the fernery are greatly admired.

DAY 04 & 05

- Check in to the Hotel and 02 nights stay in Kandy (Dinner & Breakfast)

- Visit to the golden roofed Temple of the Buddhist tooth relic (Sri Dalada Maligava)

- Visit the Royal Botanical garden Peradeniya

- watch the most colorful Sri Lankan traditional Kandiyan Dance.

- Sightseeing & educational tour at traditional Sri Lankan wood carving factory, visiting Gem House

- En route visit Elephant orphanage at Pinnawala

Kandy the hill capitol and the last kingdom of Sri Lanka
Nestled amidst lush mountains in the central province, interspersed by the Mahaveli River and the beautiful Kandy Lake as a center piece, is certainly the most picturesque city in the island and most visited. The island’s hill capitol was home to Sri Lanka’s last independent kingdom surviving almost couple of centuries of colonial invasions by the Portuguese and the Dutch before falling to the British in 1815.The city still retains much of it old worlds grandeur and traditions, crafts and the typical Sri Lankan way of life. The legacy of this proud tradition lives on today in the form of the city’s distinctive architecture, art and the dance

Dalada Maligawa Temple of the Buddha’s tooth relic in Kandy
The last home to the sacred relic of the tooth of the Gauthama Buddha, a visit to the Dalada Maligawa (Dalada-sacred tooth / Maligawa-Castle) or Temple of Tooth Relic, is an experience no tourist should miss. The golden roofed temple is visited by locals and tourists carrying flowers and incense sticks daily throughout the day and the night. Here, visitors can watch Poojas (offerings) the ancient traditions of drumming and sacred Buddhists chanting in honor of the tooth relic, being performed several times each day. The tooth relic had been snatched from the Buddha’s funeral pyre in India and smuggled to Sri Lanka in the hair of a princess named Hemamala and who was accompanied by a price named Dantha. The tooth relic is of great spiritual significance.

Royal Botanical Garden Kandy Peradeniya
In Kandy, peradeniya Botanical garden is one of the best of it’s kind in the world. Spread over 59 hectares at present, the history of the Royal Botanical Garden dates back as 1371 made by king Wickramabahu lll .

Many beautiful avenues will lead to various sections which provide a burst of tropical colours. The great lawns highlight Massive tropical trees, while visitors will be surprised at the variety of Bamboo that can be found in one place. Mahaveli River is another beautiful sight which flows bordering to the garden. The best known attraction is the Orchid House located in the middle of the garden.There are more than 300 exquisite orchids can be seen. The suspension bridge crossed over Mahaveli River is another beautiful sight made during the British era.

The spice garden gives you first hand intro to the spice trees plants and creepers that produce the special spice of Sri Lanka. The herbarium grows many of the plants used for the traditional Ayurvedic pharmacopoeia.

Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
Pinnawala Elephant orphanage is world famous home for orphan elephants. Located in Kegalle, halfway between the capitol Colombo-Kandy road. It was founded in 1975 by the wildlife department of Sri Lanka with five elephants in a 15 acre coconut land near Maha Oya River. It was founded in the purpose of care and protection to the many orphaned elephants found in the jungle of Sri Lanka. As of 2012 it was the home for around 68 elephants. After taken over by the National Zoological Garden of Sri Lanka on 1978, captive breeding program was arranged on 1982 and since now there are around twenty five babies were born and raised.

The objective of the orphanage is to create a natural world to the orphan elephants and there are daily programs take place at the orphanage. The elephant are taken to the nearby river twice daily for bath morning and afternoon.

All the babied under three years of age are still bottle fed by the Mahouts and the volunteers. Each one of them given 75kg of green leaves per day and 2kg food bag contained of rice, bran and maize.

The main attraction is baby’s bottle feeding and bathing in the river as it’s allows visitors to observe flock interacting socially, bathing and playing.

After visiting the Elephant orphanage, proceed to the Colombo Airport for departure.
